- Laboratory facilities – allow rapid in-house results for blood tests

- ECG – to help with diagnosis of heart conditions
- Endoscope – for viewing internal body structures e.g. oesophagus, intestines and stomach to assist with diagnosis

- Pulse oximeter – for improved monitoring of anaesthetised patients
