Partner/Veterinary Surgeon

Qualifications:
BVSc. MRCVS.
Qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from Liverpool University in 1983 and joined the Garstang branch in 1991. I have been a partner in this business since 1992.
Special interests:
After doing both large and small animal work for many years, I now specialise in small animals since having my children.
Family:
Married to Mike, a large animal vet and another partner in the practice. We have four sons. 
Hobbies/Pets:
We have two dogs, 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs, 2 chinchilla's a few hens and tropical fish. I enjoy walking, climbing, cycling and skiing, but have  little time for any of these as I spend most of my spare time as a taxi  service for our sons or watching them play sport.

All things skin and ear related, especially interested in allergic skin disease.

Walking my dogs, 2 labradors - also have one cat, three rabbits and a very large, fat, goldfish

Exotic species.

Married with 2 children – Andrew and Lorna.
Hobbies and Pets:
We have 2 dogs – Askar and Fritz – who are often found at the practices. 2 cats Einstein and Sparki and 3 lovebirds – Jack, Salt + Pepper


Virginia LambVirginia Lamb MA Vet MB MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon.

MA Vet MB MRCVS
I qualified from Cambridge University in 1985 and moved to a job in Lancashire 12 months later. I met and married a farmer and now cannot escape!
Family and Pets:
At home we have 200 breeding sheep, 150 pigs, some beef store cattle, 2 pet goats, 3 dogs, 3 cats, a very old rabbit, and one enormous aged goldfish. We also run a farm shop.
I moved to work at (Dimples) Lane in 1995, becoming part of Lanes Vets in 2007. My work here is mainly with small animals, as a change from what I do at home.
Hobbies:
Away from work I enjoy fell walking and being outdoors. I have been known to run the occasional marathon and already have a place to run London in 2010. I am also an ardent Derby County supporter!

Enjoy in house laboratory work and after working abroad in several rescue centres and charity run clinics, enjoy all aspects of emergency nursing care.

Interest in exotics particularly rabbits and reptiles. Currently studying for a diploma in small animal nutrition and a keen advocate for pet insurance.

1 x 3 legged rabbit, 2 x guinea pigs, 2 x fish, 1 x snake (python) and 1 dog.

Dermatology ( qualified to assist Andrea providing treatment for pets with skin conditions).

Partner and young son.
Hobbies and Pets:
Horse, dog (border terrier), cat and 2 x guinea pigs! Enjoy dog walking but no time for own hobbies as son has too many!
