At Lanes Vets we strive to offer a comprehensive and professional service that can be easily accessed 24 hours a day 7 days a week for beef, diary, sheep, goats and alpacas. Staff members are RoMS qualified to carry out mobility scoring, accredited to delivery BVD, Johnes, Milksure & AHDB Dairy Mastitis Plans. Interherd Plus, Total Vet and Herdwise are available for evaluation of herds. In order to ensure we offer a first class service we encourage staff to gain further qualifications, we currently have an RCVS Certificate holder of Cattle Health and Production and two Diplomates in Bovine Reproduction.
We run various schemes and health clubs; our free of charge Dairy Health Club allows you to compare against national averages and targets for various health and production parameters. The Calf Health Club and Flock Health Club are progressive, cost-effective monitoring and improvement schemes.
Our experienced vet technician is available at a reasonable rate. Our ATT also provides TB testing to a high standard.
LDA and exploratory abdominal surgery can also be carried out by keyhole laparoscopic surgery. All the surgical procedures we carry out have 2 experienced persons (either 2 vets or a vet and a nurse) to ensure maximum success. An embryo transfer programme is also available.
Throughout the year we host many meetings & courses including DIY AI training courses.
