Weekend Veterinary Nurse
I have always been keenly interested in both animals and biology, so veterinary nursing allows me to combine these interests along with my compassion for animals and desire to improve their welfare.
I began working as a nursing assistant in 2002, which led on to nurse training. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2006 and joined Lanes Vets shortly afterwards.
I am keen to further my education and pursued my interest in behaviour study, undertaking part-time studies at Portsmouth University and achieving a fist class degree. This extra knowledge helps me to run and teach others to run puppy parties, help owners who are experiencing problems with their companion animals and to provide de-sensitisation courses for animals frightened of visits to the vets.
I work at both the Garstang and Poulton-le-Fylde practices, assisting our ophthalmology specialist in appointments and surgeries.
